User Agreement
By using www.serentiatravels.com, you confirm that:
• You are aged 18 or over
• You accept and understand these Terms & Conditions
Use of this site or written communication with Serentia Travels for travel arrangements constitutes agreement to these terms. If you disagree with any part, please refrain from using the site.
Booking Conditions
Serentia Travels (Pvt) Limited is located at 261/5, Madiwela Road, Udahamulla, Nugegoda, Colombo, Sri Lanka. We collaborate with reputable suppliers, and their respective terms also apply to purchases or reservations made through our site. Supplier terms are available upon request.
You are responsible for reviewing and complying with these conditions. Violation may result in reservation cancellation, forfeited payments, or additional fees.
Booking Your Holiday
A booking is confirmed when you provide written acceptance and:
• Full payment
• A non-refundable deposit of 20% (may be waived at our discretion)
• For peak-season bookings, a 50% advance is required
• Bookings made within 30 days of arrival require full payment
Final Payment
Remaining balances must be paid no later than 30 days prior to arrival. Late payments may result in cancellation.
Methods of Payment
Accepted payment options:
• Credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard) via secure gateway (3.5% handling fee applies)
• Bank transfer (you bear any overseas bank fees)
We do not store card details and use SSL encryption for secure transactions. Payments accepted in USD or LKR.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance for all parties at the time of booking. Booking acceptance confirms insurance has been arranged.
Price Policy
Prices may change due to factors beyond our control (e.g. exchange rates, supplier adjustments, tax changes). You may accept revised pricing or cancel under these terms.
Prices are quoted in USD.
Amendments & Cancellations
• 45+ days before travel: Deposit forfeited
• 30 – 44 days: 50% of total package
• 20- 29 days: 75% of total package
• Less than 15 days: 100% of total package
Airfare refunds follow airline regulations. No refunds for unused services or boutique stays with non-refundable policies.
Health, Passport & Visas
You are responsible for:
• Obtaining vaccinations and travel health advice
• Securing valid passports and visas
Serentia Travels is not liable for travel disruptions due to missing documents.
Air Travel
You are responsible for confirming flights and updating us with travel details to ensure coordination of services.
Shopping
We do not guarantee or endorse the value of items purchased independently, even if discussed with our representatives.
Responsibility
We accept liability only for incidents due to our proven negligence and only if we arranged your full itinerary. We act as coordinator in partial bookings and accept no liability for supplier failures in these cases.
We are not liable for disruptions due to:
• Force majeure (e.g. war, natural disaster)
• Supplier limitations
• Facility closures during off-season
We aim to provide reasonable alternatives when necessary.
Breakages & Damages
You are responsible for any damage caused during your stay. Such damage must be rectified or paid for before departure.
Behavior
Disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in termination of your holiday. In such cases, no refunds or compensation will be provided.
Nature of Overseas Travel
Travel in Sri Lanka may include modest infrastructure, delays, and natural occurrences (e.g. insects). Travelers accept these risks as part of the experience.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Serentia Travels from any claims or liabilities resulting from:
• Violation of these Terms
• Legal violations
• Misuse of this site or its content
Exclusion of Liability
While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee all content is error-free. Use of our website is at your own risk. We are not responsible for:
• Linked third-party websites
• Discrepancies between online descriptions and actual services
Information Provided by You
You agree that all personal and payment information you provide is accurate. We protect your data and adhere to strict anti-fraud protocols.
Severability
If any clause is deemed invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions remain valid.
Complaints
To resolve a complaint:
• Notify the supplier and our representative immediately
• If unresolved, submit a written complaint within 28 days of return
• Feedback is welcomed via our Customer Survey
Failure to follow this procedure may limit our ability to assist.
Arbitration
All bookings with Serentia Travels are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Disputes will be subject to Sri Lankan jurisdiction.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes will be resolved under Sri Lankan jurisdiction.
Electronic Communications
By using our website or contacting us via email or WhatsApp, you consent to receive communications through these channels. Such communications are legally equivalent to written correspondence. We do not guarantee website content accuracy and are not liable for electronic risks (e.g. viruses). Interactive content is moderated for legal compliance.
